What's a Certificate
of Destruction?
"Category B" means we're officially licensed to take cars that are too far gone for the road, break them for usable parts, and destroy the shell — all done properly and legally.
A Certificate of Destruction (CoD) is the DVLA's proof that your car has been scrapped. Once you've got it, the DVLA marks the car as gone — so it's off your name for good: no more road tax, no fines, no letters, and no liability if it ever turned up somewhere.
